Early Years Foundation Stage

At this stage, we focus on igniting children's curiosity for learning.

In our Early Years Classes, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

We focus on areas that are particularly crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive.

We also apply learning through;

Key Stages 1 and 2

Based on the British National Curriculum.

At this stage, the curriculum has at its heart the development of core literacy and mathematical skills that are transferable in other learning contexts and subjects. We also work on developing the attributes of our children to be confident, active learners and responsible global citizens.

We do this through performing arts, sports, outdoor learning, social responsibility, adapting the topics taught and an extensive co-curricular programme.

Key Stages 3 and 4

Key Stage 3 and 4 follow the British National Curriculum (IGCSE).

This is the stage for opportunities for the development of skills such as leadership, problem-solving, collaboration and enquiry. The curriculum is further enhanced by a wide variety of co-curricular programmes.

When students enter their year 10 and 11 of study, they get to select their subjects for the IGCSE examinations, usually taken at the end of Year 11.

We encourage our students to study a broad range of subjects, thus enabling a wide choice of career. These examinations are recognised across the world and are of considerable interest to university admissions officers.

With our personalised approach, students get to have the best choice of subjects so as to best fit their strengths and career hopes.  Throughout the IGCSE course, the students are supported by expert staff and offered a range of extracurricular activities designed to develop personal and interpersonal skills.

Key Stages 5

This is a Pre-University Stage that is tailored after the British National Curriculum (GCE, A-Level, BTEC).

This stage requires the effort of the student, the parents, and the schools’ experienced guidance counsellor in choosing  the path the student will follow to university.

There are choices of two year courses available.

A-Levels

A student may choose between 3 and 5 subjects that interest them and are related to their career aspirations, to study in depth. The two year A-Level course is currently divided into an AS-Level course that is studied in Year 12 and ends in AS-Level examinations, followed by an A2 course that is studied in Year 13 and ends in A2 examinations.

This however is not the case with all subjects. There are subjects that offer only one certification at the end of a full 2 year course. A-Levels are academic qualifications recognised throughout the world and have the advantage that the student can focus on areas of strength and interest.

BTEC Level 3

The BTEC courses is excellent for all students, but particularly for those who find the traditional assessment by examinations a challenge. A focus on coursework and independent study gives the BTEC a unique status among the KS5 courses. Students develop the knowledge, understanding and skills that they need to prepare for employment, university courses in the same or related areas of study, or further career related development.

To enhance and Support the courses offered at our Senior High Campus, there is a rich offering of extra curricular opportunities. Students are always encouraged to participate fully in these programmes so as to allow them to develop skills, confidence and a broad minded outlook on the world.

We also have an expert and well experienced careers guidance officer who is available to the students throughout the A-Level course, offering guidance at all stages of the university application process.
